No Till Seeder Rental Policy

The Central Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District's No-Till Seeder is available for rent by farmers throughout Aroostook County. The seeder is designed for planting a variety of grasses and small grains and is typically used for sowing cover crops, seeding waterway, etc. The seeder rental is on a first-come first-served basis. The Southern Aroostook and St. John John Valley Soil and Water Conservation District's will be coordinating with the Central Aroostook District to ensure that all interested parties have an opportunity to used the seeder.

GUIDELINES FOR USE

  • Please! NO FERTILIZER in the seeder. The chemicals in the fertilizer destroy the composite mechanisms, requiring expensive repairs.
  • The seeder has a pin/clevis hitch (no ball). You will need a heavy duty automotive bumper or tractor to tow the seeder.
  • Extra hydraulic fittings are included to allow use with various tractors. An operators manual is also included.
  • Before you return the Seeder, please grease pivots and let us know if there are any broken parts.

    RENTAL FEES

    0 - 10 Acres: $13.00 per acre

    10 + Acres: $10.00 per acre
