Non-Discrimination Policy

This policy defines the Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District's position on discrimination. It applies to all Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District's employees, programs and services. The Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District follows an equal opportunity employment policy and employs personnel without regard to race, creed, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental handicap, veteran status and marital status.

This policy also applies to internal promotions, training, opportunities for advancement, termination, relationships with outside vendors and customers, use of contractors and consultants and in dealing with the general public. All Southern Aroostook Soil and Water Conservation District programs and services are available on a non-discriminatory without regard to race, creed, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, physical or mental handicap, veteran status and marital status.

Violations of this policy will be dealt with quickly, and disciplinary action may be taken, up to and including termination.
