Winter Cover Crop Pictures
These four photographs were taken at Albert Fitzpatrick's potato field on the Foxcroft Road in Houlton and show the growth of a winter cover crop. Barley was spun on the field at a rate of 3 Bu/Acre. The field was harvested on the September 10th with the barley being incorporated at that time. The photograph from May 13, 2005 shows what remained of the cover crop in the spring.
